How is Twist Microneedling different?
Twist microneedling creates controlled micro injuries at a rate of 150 needle strokes per second. Theses micro injuries or micro channels in the skin layer will trigger a bodily response to initiate wound healing. During the healing process, fibroblast cells become active and begin to multiply thus increasing the production of new collagen and elastin fibres. As a result, your skin will appear firmer, even texture and tone, and scars and wrinkles will minimize in appearance.

How long do treatments take?
Treatments take anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes depending on the area being treated. If numbing prior to treatment, an additional 30 minutes is required.
How many treatments are required?
The number of treatments required varies from client. Factors such as age, diet, water intake, response to the overall treatment can influence the sessions required. For most clients, it is recommended a minimum of 3 sessions is required. This can be discussed further at your appointment.
When will results be noticed?
Results vary between clients. The effects of microneedling are cumulative and results are developed over time. This is why it is important to complete the recommended series of treatment that were prescribed. It can take 1-3 months after the last treatment for full effects.
Is there any downtime?
Downtime with microneedling is minimal. Many resume daily activities the same day or within 24 hours. Please expect your skin to be pink-red and sensitive to touch after the treatment and will resolve between 24-48 hours. It is recommended no makeup for a minimum of 24 hours after the treatment. Refrain from saunas, hot tubs, steamy hot showers, lakes or pools. Hat is required to product the face if in sun. Sunscreen, SPF, is required after the treatment as area will be more susceptible to the sun.
Is this treatment safe during the summer time?
Absolutely. Is important that regardless the time of year that we protect our face from the sun with sunscreen and a hat.
Is the treatment painful?
Twist microneedling offers the most comfortable microneedling experience. The treatment feels like gentle pinching and is not considered painful. Although, numbing can be added to every session, at no charge, to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.
How long do the results last?
Twist treatments provide long terms benefits for your overall skin and could last months. It is recommended periodic treatments to be done to maintain results. Results are also dependant on individual factors, appropriate skincare on a daily basis, less sun exposure will all benefit the long term results.
